While county and state averages stayed higher, the report highlights where local residents have been finding relatively cheaper fuel around town and in neighboring communities. 
• Forest Preserve Golf: Becomes home for Chicago State University golf teams (firstcallgolf.com) — Chicago State University's men's and women's golf teams will launch their new partnership with Forest Preserve Golf at a Windy City Classic kickoff event in Oak Brook's GOLFZON Social on Saturday, October 3. Local golf fans can mingle with players and coaches there before the NCAA invitational tees off October 5–6 in Oak Forest.
