• $500K In Lifted Copper Wire, Trailer Stolen From Oak Forest Discovered Hundreds Of Miles Away: Sheriff (patch.com) — Oak Forest residents are at the center of a multi-state investigation after a locally stolen trailer was used to haul about $500,000 in copper wire from DeKalb to warehouses and truck stops in Kentucky and Ohio. Working with CargoNet and out-of-state police, sheriff's investigators tracked and recovered the wire and the missing Oak Forest trailer, taking three people into custody.
