• Repeat Burglar Charged In Gaming Cafe Break-Ins: Oak Lawn Police (patch.com) — Oak Lawn residents are learning more about a series of early-morning gaming cafe burglaries after police charged a 22-year-old Calumet Park man in connection with two March break-ins on Ridgeland and Cicero. Authorities say thieves targeted video gaming terminals for cash, and note the same suspect is also facing related charges in several nearby suburbs.
   

• Major Retail Chain Closes Illinois Store Amid Bankruptcy (patch.com) — Leslie's pool supply is closing one Illinois store in West Chicago as part of a nationwide bankruptcy restructuring, but its Oak Lawn location remains open for now. The company says it will keep serving customers while shedding debt and closing dozens of underperforming stores, which could affect how nearby communities access specialized pool and spa supplies.
