• Safety Group Urges Awareness After Recent Child Vehicle Tragedies (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — An 18‑month‑old child in Opdyke was among ten young children nationwide recently killed when drivers couldn’t see them in front of or behind vehicles, often in driveways or parking lots. A safety group is urging families to take extra precautions around large SUVs and trucks, from walking around vehicles before moving them to closely supervising kids whenever cars are arriving or leaving.
