Orland Nonprofit's 3rd Annual Faith Walk Aims To Inspire Community, Support Those In Need

ORLAND PARK, IL — A local nonprofit will soon host its third annual fundraising walk aimed at bringing together individuals of all faiths and backgrounds for a day of connection and inspiration.

The Servants Project's third annual Faith Walk on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 14750 S. Ravinia Ave., a community event that "welcomes anyone with a dream in their heart to come walk, connect, and be uplifted," organizers said.

Attendees will enjoy a day filled with networking opportunities, motivational moments led by diverse community leaders, shopping with lots of local vendors, exciting raffle prizes, and of course—the walk. Participants can choose between the on-site track or the scenic John Humphrey Trail, taking symbolic steps toward their dreams, surrounded by encouragement and community support. The walk begins at 10 a.m.

The event aims to raise funds to support individuals experiencing homelessness during their shelter stays and transitions to permanent housing, provide tutoring scholarships for elementary and middle school students, and deliver comfort care packages to grieving mothers who have experienced miscarriage.

"The Faith Walk is about more than just raising funds; it's about raising hope," said Cyndee Harris, Founder of The Servants Project. "Every person who registers, volunteers, sponsors, or donates becomes part of a movement that reminds our community they are seen, valued, and never alone. Together, we are walking toward brighter futures for the families we serve. This event is not just a walk, but a symbolic gesture of faith and a fulfilling way to come together and support a mission that serves as a lifeline for families in need. Participants are encouraged to register as a walker for just $25 or support through a donation. Your gift of goods, services, or monetary contributions will make an immediate and meaningful difference in the lives of those facing challenges.

Every step taken, every person encouraged, and every dollar raised will help further The Servants Project’s mission to supply relief and aid to the grieving, homeless, and undereducated.
