Giordano's Closes Pizzeria In Oswego

It might not be long until a new business replaces the pizza joint, village officials said.

OSWEGO, IL — Giordano's Pizza shuttered its doors in Oswego, the village confirmed.

The village learned of the closure of the pizzeria at 2870 Route 34 on Monday, Economic Development Director Kevin Leighty told Patch. Google also lists the business as permanently closed.

It's unclear why the location shuttered. Giordano's did not respond to Patch's request for comment.

It might not be long until a new business replaces the pizza joint, as the landlord has already identified a replacement, Leighty said.

"[The landlord] could be presenting formal plans at a public meeting as early as next month," he said.

With the Oswego location no longer, fans of Giordano's will have to travel to North Aurora, Joliet or Naperville to indulge in the Chicago-style deep dish pie.
