Increased Police Presence Near Harvest New Beginnings Church A Result Of Training
More officers and emergency vehicles will be present throughout the day as part of the training exercise, officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — Oswego police will be conducting training Thursday at Harvest New Beginnings Church, leading to an increased law enforcement presence in the area.
Residents and passersby may notice more officers and emergency vehicles than usual. Officials said it's nothing to worry about, as they will be entering and exiting the building on Douglas Road throughout the day.
Officials said partnerships like the one with Harvest allow officers to train in realistic environments to become better prepared to respond to critical incidents and keep the community safe.
