• Barkville Buddies drops plans to open dog-friendly bar in downtown Oswego (shawlocal.com) — Plans for Barkville Buddies, a dog-friendly bar with an indoor lounge and outdoor play area on South Harrison Street in downtown Oswego, have been canceled due to delays and funding issues. The broader Harrison Street redevelopment, including small shop spaces and streetscape improvements, is still moving forward. 
• Futures Finalist Owen Lippoldt Sends Verbal Commitment to Minnesota for 2027 (swimswam.com) — An Oswego Co-Op High School swimmer, Owen Lippoldt, has verbally committed to join the University of Minnesota's swim team in 2027. The rising senior from Oswego recently posted strong sprint freestyle and backstroke times at Futures and the Illinois state meet.
