• Many left without power in Central Illinois after storms Wednesday night (centralillinoisproud.com) — Power crews are working Thursday to restore electricity after Wednesday night’s severe storms left several hundred Pekin residents still without power, alongside larger outages in Chillicothe and Peoria. Tazewell County and nearby communities are also affected, and Ameren warns repairs could take time if more storms hit. Residents can check the Ameren outage map for the latest local status.
