1. Slurry Seal project to impact some Peoria roads starting Monday (centralillinoisproud.com) — Peoria drivers should prepare for temporary daytime street closures and no-parking zones starting Monday, Oct. 12, as Public Works applies a slurry seal to extend the life of several neighborhood roads. Residents on affected streets will get door-hanger notices 24 to 48 hours ahead and must move vehicles off the roadway until signs are removed, with rain pushing work to the following week.
