• Plainfield District 202 students gained work experience through Will County CED summer internship program (shawlocal.com) — Plainfield District 202 students spent this summer in paid internships with local governments, nonprofits, arts groups, and businesses through the Will County CED program, including roles with Plainfield Arts Community Theatre and Pace Suburban Bus. The district plans to expand the partnership by hosting interns itself in 2027 and will hold an informational breakfast for potential internship hosts at the District 202 Administration Center on Sept. 8.

• Augustana College had 3 football commitments as of Aug. 19, 2026 (rockislandtoday.com) — A Plainfield North High School football player, Grant Zak, is among three athletes listed by Prep Redzone as 2026 commitments to Augustana College.
