• Plainfield Band Boosters plan 28th Annual Craft Show (wjol.com) — Plainfield families can mark their calendars for the 28th Annual Fall Craft Show at Plainfield High School–Central Campus on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. The two-day event in Plainfield will feature more than 200 craft booths, food, and the Band Boosters' popular baked potatoes. Proceeds support band programs at Plainfield Central, East, North, and South high schools.
   

• PHS-CC 2026 graduate is the Gatorade Illinois Boys Soccer Player of the year (wjol.com) — Plainfield residents can celebrate Marshall DeGraff, a 2026 Plainfield High School–Central Campus graduate, who has been named the 2025–26 Gatorade Illinois Boys Soccer Player of the Year. The standout goalkeeper led the Wildcats to a strong season, earned All-American honors, and now plays at Bowling Green University. He also volunteers with local and regional service organizations off the field.
