Plainfield Railroad Crossing To Close For Track Repairs
The crossing is expected to be completely closed to traffic for a week.
PLAINFIELD, IL — The train crossing on Van Dyke Road, north of 143rd Street, will close Oct. 12 for track repairs, Plainfield officials announced.
CN Railroad will complete the repairs, which are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. The crossing is expected to be completely closed to traffic through Oct. 16.
A detour route will guide drivers using 135th Street, Route 34 and 143rd Street.
