No One Injured After 'Small' House Fire In Romeoville: Fire District

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A fire damaged a bedroom in a Romeoville home early Sunday, the Lockport Township Fire Protection District shared in a news release.
At 1 a.m. Sunday, the fire district responded to a reported structure fire on Mountain Laurel Court. Firefighters arrived and found smoke coming from the second floor of a home, according to a news release.
A small fire was located in a bedroom. The occupants were not home at the time of the incident, the fire district said.

Fire crews made a "quick attack" and were able to extinguish the fire, the fire district said. The damage from the fire was primarily contained to the room of origin. No injuries were reported during this incident.
The incident was elevated to the "general alarm level", which brought in assistance from Plainfield, Homer, and East Joliet Fire Departments to help cover the district.
