Emerson Park Playground Reopens In Skokie

Village of Skokie CARES Act funds helped support the new Emerson Park playground reopening.

SKOKIE, IL — The Skokie Park District announced the reopening of the Emerson Park playground in Skokie.

The park district said the brand-new playground was made possible through cooperation with the Village of Skokie and the village’s remaining CARES Act funding.

The funding came from the federal CARES Act, as part of a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill supporting activities that prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency. The park district said the Emerson Park project fits that purpose by expanding opportunities for residents to use outdoor recreational spaces.
