• Minister Piyush Goyal Leads Heartfelt 157th Gandhi Jayanti Tribute in Skokie (hiindia.com) — Residents recently joined Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Skokie officials at Heritage Park to mark Gandhi's 157th birthday with flag-raising, music, and reflection. • Driver charged after hit-and-run crash seriously injures pedestrian in Evanston (chicagotribune.com) — A Texas driver accused of a hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian in Evanston was tracked with help from Skokie police and is due in court at the Skokie Courthouse on Old Orchard Road. The case underscores how closely Skokie law enforcement and courts coordinate with neighboring suburbs when serious crashes and fugitives cross municipal lines.
