• A disruption for years, Old Orchard Road construction will last at least one more, county officials say (therecordnorthshore.org) — Old Orchard Road construction in Skokie, including the I-94 bridge and ramps, will now stretch into summer 2027, county officials told the Skokie Village Board. Crews are working overtime to finish key westbound lanes and a multiuse trail this year, while residents and businesses continue to express frustration over delays and changing timelines.
