• South Elgin man charged after barricaded police stand-off, accused of threatening to shoot officers (shawlocal.com) — South Elgin police say a local man was arrested after allegedly barricading himself in a bedroom on Oakwood Lane and threatening officers during a Sunday standoff. Kane County SWAT and multiple nearby agencies assisted, and the man now faces felony and misdemeanor charges while remaining in custody as the investigation continues.
