• Thornton Township's Oct. 19 meeting canceled shortly before scheduled start (thelansingjournal.org) — Thornton Township abruptly canceled its October 19 Board of Trustees meeting at the South Holland administrative building just before the 6 p.m. start, leaving residents and reporters to find only a notice on the door. No reason was given, and required agendas were not properly shared in advance, even as the building continues serving as an early voting site through November 2.
