• Illinois unions rally against driverless vehicle bill and warn of job losses and public safety risks (kentucky.com) — State Rep. Jeff Keicher of Sycamore is co-sponsoring a bill that would test driverless cars in select Illinois counties and potentially allow them statewide after three years. Unions rallied in Springfield this week warning the plan could cost middle-class driving jobs and raise safety concerns, while supporters like Waymo argue autonomous vehicles can reduce crashes and bring new investment.
