• 'He Is Fighting': Beloved Kindergartner Recovering, 'Night Out For Orazio' Fundraiser Will Support Family (patch.com) — Tinley Park residents are rallying around 5-year-old kindergartner Orazio Castelli, whose family runs Frankie's Est. 1988, after a sudden brain bleed and weeks of hospitalization. A Night Out for Orazio fundraiser at the Tinley Park restaurant on Sept. 29 and an ongoing GoFundMe are helping support his long recovery, as he prepares for another brain surgery and intensive rehabilitation.

(patch.com) — Flipside Brewing is hosting the free Flipside Bazaar in Tinley Park on Sept. 20, offering craft beer, smash burgers, and dozens of local artists and makers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. With an expanded patio, plenty of parking, and no admission fee, it's designed as a relaxed, family-friendly way to support small businesses close to home.

Rising natural gas costs, slower revenue growth, and the end of some relief funds shape the plan, but officials say cash reserves remain strong and the district has avoided new debt.
