• Proposed solar energy utility drives Wauconda to pursue annexation (chronicleillinois.com) — Wauconda officials have started annexation of a 62-acre unincorporated parcel to block a large solar energy utility next to Liberty Lakes homes and keep the land residential. The move triggers a court review, public hearing, and possible referendum, with the process expected to wrap up within 30 to 90 days unless voters force a ballot question.
