• Evanston playwright to premier show based on her memoir (evanstonroundtable.com) — Western Springs plays a key role in a new one-woman show, as playwright and actor Tania Richard draws on her experience growing up as the only Black girl in the suburb. Her memoir-based play, "Black Girl from a White Suburb," premieres Sept. 4 at American Blues Theater in Chicago and runs through Oct. 4, exploring identity, inclusion, and community.
