• Village of Wilmette Entry Level Police Officers in Wilmette, IL (chicagotribune.com) — Wilmette's police department is hiring entry-level officers, with applications and required testing due by September 28, 2026, and starting 2027 salaries ranging from about $96,000 to $129,000 plus strong benefits. Local candidates must meet age, education, licensing, and fitness requirements, including holding a valid POWER card by the deadline. 
• Police Reports: Traffic camera removed, bicycle thefts, retail burglaries (therecordnorthshore.org) — Recent Wilmette police reports detail several thefts of bikes, packages, and items from homes, cars, and local businesses, plus one arrest after a crash and attempted flight from officers.
