WILMETTE, IL — Clearbrook has appointed Wilmette resident Morgan Estabrook as its vice president of philanthropy and marketing, the organization announced Monday.

The nonprofit said Estabrook will lead its integrated philanthropy and marketing work after a national search led by executive search firm KEES.

In the role, Estabrook will direct individual and estate giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, and community and volunteer engagement. Clearbrook said she joined the organization after 12 years at Northwestern University, where she most recently served as senior executive director of marketing and communications for alumni relations and development.

Clearbrook serves more than 8,000 children and adults each year through early intervention, day programs, residential housing, vocational training and specialized clinical care across more than 80 Chicagoland locations. “This is a pivotal moment for Clearbrook as we expand our community-integrated model,” said Jessica Smart, Clearbrook president and CEO. “Morgan’s exceptional experience, strategic acumen, bold vision and passion for this work and the communities we serve make her the ideal leader to drive our philanthropic and engagement goals forward.”

Clearbrook board chair Edward J. Fiorentino said Estabrook's background will support the organization's fundraising and outreach goals.

“Morgan’s strategic vision and deep background in driving advancement through integrated marketing brings immense strength to our organization,” said Fiorentino, who is also executive chairman of TerSera Therapeutics. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we broaden our reach and secure the resources needed to empower those we serve.”

At Northwestern, Estabrook helped lead strategic positioning for the Forever Shine Campaign for scholarships and “We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern,” which raised $6.1 billion from more than 174,000 donors. She also previously worked across nonprofit higher education institutions, including the University of Virginia.

Clearbrook said Estabrook's connection to the mission is also personal, because she grew up in a family involved in disability advocacy, and she now serves as legal guardian for her sister, who has intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“Having navigated these systems alongside my own family, I know how vital and impactful Clearbrook’s programs and services are,” Estabrook said. “I am honored to step into this role and partner with our families, staff, volunteers, advocates and friends to help children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive in their communities.”
