Both he and another 18-year-old now face misdemeanor battery charges, with court hearings set for April 21 and 22 as the case continues through McHenry County court. 
• Worker rushed to hospital after being seriously injured at large nursery near Wonder Lake (lakemchenryscanner.com) — An employee at Goodmark Nurseries in unincorporated Wonder Lake suffered a serious leg injury Monday afternoon after stepping on rebar, prompting a call for a medical helicopter that was grounded by weather. Local fire crews instead rushed the worker by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine McHenry, where the injury was considered serious but not life-threatening as officials continue reviewing what happened.
