Carol Marcus (nee Jachowicz)

Carol Marcus, age 79, of Shorewood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 31, 1947, in Chicago.

Carol owned and operated C3 Corporation, which was for construction layout and land surveying.

Carol is survived by her two sisters, Janet (Steve) Martin and Catherine (Steve) Krasowski; her brother, Tim (Chris) Jachowicz; six nieces and nephews, Michael, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Tracy, Jennifer, and Jason; several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Carol (nee Begunder) and Frank Cservenyak; her husband, Donald; one brother, David Jachowicz; and her partner and love of her life, Paul Stancato.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation for Carol Marcus will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 4:00 p.m. Per Carol’s request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
