Indiana water systems say they're prepared as FBI warns about cyberattacks (wrtv.com) — Carmel officials say the city is actively working with federal partners on a utilities cybersecurity assessment to protect local water and wastewater systems from potential cyberattacks. The broader report explains an FBI warning about hackers targeting water utilities nationwide and outlines how Indiana providers, including Carmel, are strengthening defenses to keep drinking water safe for Central Indiana customers. 
2. Drone footage reveals devastating flooding across an Indiana neighborhood (thecooldown.com) — Drone footage from a Carmel resident shows just how extensively floodwaters have inundated parts of the city, including a nearby rock quarry. The video, widely shared on TikTok, captures high water, debris, and damage while commenters discuss how the flooding may alter the White River's path and reflect Indiana's broader environmental history and flood risks.
3. After the flood: Recovery underway after White River surges into homes, destroys bridge (youarecurrent.com) — Carmel officials have averted a likely wastewater pipe breach into the White River using emergency damming and National Guard airlifted sandbags, but flooding has still destroyed the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge and closed several riverfront parks. Residents are urged to avoid the White River and barricaded areas while a travel ban, cleanup, and long-term bridge reconstruction plans move forward, with drinking water reported safe.

Rocky Ripple residents fear flood compromised levee (fox59.com) — Recent record flooding on the White River spared Rocky Ripple, in part because a quarry in Carmel absorbed waters that destroyed the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge and flooded nearby Ravenswood. Residents and experts now worry the aging Rocky Ripple levee was compromised and are pushing for urgent inspections and long-term flood protection upgrades.
