• Carmel Film Forum free workshop focuses on sound design (youarecurrent.com) — Carmel filmmakers and digital creators can attend a free, two-part sound design workshop on Sept. 12 at Carmel Clay Public Library and Flowing Well Park, led by veteran sound mixer Brian Hansen. Funded in part by a Carmel Arts Grant, the Carmel Film Forum program welcomes all skill levels and highlights the city's strong support for local arts and creators. 
• Brownsburg High School graduate to perform at Opera in the Park (youarecurrent.com) — Local opera fans can hear Brownsburg graduate Ron Dukes at Indianapolis Opera's free Opera in the Park concert Sept. 11 in Indianapolis, then see him again when he appears in La Traviata Nov. 13–15 at The Tarkington in Carmel. The story also highlights fellow performer Joseph McBrayer and how the outdoor concert helps introduce new audiences to opera.
