1. Evansville Rescue Mission Thrift Store Announces Expansion Reveal (newstalk1280.com) — Evansville thrifters will soon see a bigger Thrift Store by Evansville Rescue Mission and an expanded Mission Grounds coffee shop inside Washington Square Mall. A Grand Reveal is set for Wednesday, September 23, at 10 a.m., giving shoppers a first look at the new layout while supporting the mission's work with neighbors facing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. 
2. ABBA Tribute Band MANIA Returning to Evansville, Indiana (my1053wjlt.com) — An ABBA tribute show, MANIA, is headed back to downtown Evansville on Thursday, October 15, with a 7:30 p.m. performance at the Victory Theatre. Fans can expect classics like "Dancing Queen" and "Mamma Mia," a disco-party atmosphere, and a chance to dress up, sing along, and make a fall night out of it with friends.
3. Police Urging Safety This Holiday Weekend (wnin.org) — Police across the Evansville District, including Evansville Police, will be out in force through Labor Day weekend targeting impaired and unsafe drivers. Troopers urge you to buckle up, slow down, put your phone away, and arrange a sober ride. Extra patrols are part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign responding to high alcohol- and drug-related crash deaths.
4.
