Fadness: Last Fishers flood rescue completed Saturday; recovery work begins in earnest Monday (larryinfishers.com) — Fishers officials have ended four days of dramatic water rescues along the White River with no reported injuries, and are now shifting fully into recovery mode starting Monday. Parks along the river suffered damage, and many riverside homes likely face catastrophic losses, but city infrastructure and water service remain intact. Residents needing help can call the city's 24-hour flood hotline or use the online reporting form. 
2. Judge sentences Drive Planning CEO to 20 years for $380M Ponzi scheme (wishtv.com) — A financial firm that once operated from a Fishers coworking space and planned a new building at 116th and Olio is at the center of a massive $380 million Ponzi scheme. Former CEO Todd Burkhalter has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, while thousands of investors, including Hoosiers, await word on how much of their losses might be recovered.
3. Central Indiana teams donate $250,000 to aid flood victims; find assistance and shelter (wishtv.com) — Major Indiana sports teams have pledged $250,000 to the Red Cross to support families hit by this week's historic flooding, while several shelters and aid sites are opening across central Indiana. For Fishers residents, ITOWN Church's Fishers campus will host a Monday drive-thru with food, hygiene supplies, and cleaning kits, complementing Red Cross shelters and city evacuation assistance options in Indianapolis.
4. ITOWN Church provides relief after record White River floods force evacuations (wishtv.com) — If you've been affected by the recent White River flooding, ITOWN Church's Fishers campus will run a drive-thru distribution Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free food, hygiene items, and cleaning kits. The church's other central Indiana campuses are also stocked with supplies as Anderson and nearby communities begin cleaning up after record river levels and widespread evacuations.
5. Freight Beat the IFL Champion Twice — and Still Missed the Playoffs (larryinfishers.com) — Fishers Freight fans just watched a team that beat eventual IFL champion Arizona twice still miss the playoffs after a win-or-go-home loss to Orlando at the Fishers Event Center. The Freight finished 8-8, showing progress but dropping several one-possession games. With the league expanding and expectations rising, coach Dixie Wooten now turns to building a stronger 2027 roster in Fishers.
