Board leaders say the move is meant to handle growing administrative demands, free Superintendent Tom Hunter to focus on big-picture goals, and build internal leadership for the district’s long-term future. 
• DCMH gives sports physicals, donates to athletic departments (812noww.com) — Decatur County Memorial Hospital recently turned 94 student sports physicals into $1,880 in direct support for athletic departments at Greensburg, North Decatur, South Decatur and St. Mary’s. By volunteering their time, hospital providers and staff gave families an easy way to meet sports requirements while channeling every dollar back into local school programs.
• Indiana jail's baptism event with rappers criticized as unconstitutional (indystar.com) — An Indiana jail in Bloomington is under scrutiny from a church-state watchdog group for hosting a Christian baptism and hip-hop event for inmates, raising questions about government promotion of religion. The same organization previously challenged similar baptisms and religious activities at the Decatur County detention center in Greensburg highlighting ongoing legal concerns about how local jails handle faith-based programming.
