The 18‑month‑old dog can sense tremors before they start, providing comfort and stability as Myers stays active with exercise and public outreach about the disease. The dog cost $10,000 out of pocket and arrived in Greenwood in March.

Greenwood man charged for not telling sexual partner he had HIV (fox59.com) — Police have charged a Greenwood man with a Level 6 felony, accusing him of failing to tell a sexual partner he was HIV‑positive, as required under Indiana law. Court documents say the pair met on a dating app, were in a monogamous relationship, and the partner later tested positive. Prosecutors allege the man previously acknowledged his HIV status on jail intake forms.

Shortstop Noah Coy Rising to the Occasion During Sophomore Campaign (fightingirish.com) — A Greenwood native is turning heads as Notre Dame’s starting shortstop, building on a breakout summer league performance with a strong sophomore season. Local product Noah Coy is batting over .300, leading the Irish in several offensive categories, and will try to keep his momentum going as the team heads to Florida State this weekend.

Aspire Johnson County honors businesses during 2026 awards ceremony (dailyjournal.net) — A Greenwood-based mental health practice, Kenosis Counseling Center, was among nine businesses and nonprofits honored at Aspire Johnson County’s 2026 awards, highlighting its long-term growth and training of new clinicians. The ceremony in Bargersville also recognized United Way of Johnson County, Duke Homes, Huston Electric, and several employers for their workforce and talent development efforts that directly affect residents across Greenwood and the wider county.
