• Hammond Woman Charged After Allegedly Biting Two Schererville Officers At Restaurant (regionnewssource.org) — A 39-year-old Hammond woman faces multiple felony charges after police say she resisted arrest and injured two Schererville officers at a Cooper's Hawk restaurant Friday evening. Officers allege she was intoxicated, refused a rideshare, struggled during handcuffing, and continued to be uncooperative while being transported to Lake County Jail.
