• Kennedy Ave and Indianapolis Blvd interchanges to have short-term closures (lakeshorepublicmedia.org) — If you drive I-94 through Hammond, expect intermittent ramp closures at Kennedy Avenue and Indianapolis Boulevard throughout September as INDOT crews clean and inspect drainage systems. Work will roll in phases, causing delays and prompting officials to urge slower speeds, extra caution, and planning alternate routes around the Borman Expressway in Hammond and Lake County.
