• Bartholomew County Public Library opens new eastside branch (therepublic.com) — A new Bartholomew County Public Library Eastside Branch has opened on McClure Road in Columbus, expanding services that also support Hope-area residents. Led in part by insights from BCPL’s Hope Branch supervisor, the site offers computers, printing, and weekday hot meals, plus creative items like games and sewing machines. Library leaders say the walkable branch aims to give eastside neighbors a safe, welcoming “third place.”
