• Huntington County Community Schools face budget shortfall (huntingtoncountytab.com) — Huntington County Community Schools are starting the 2026–27 year facing a $2.5 million budget shortfall tied to statewide property tax law changes. District leaders say they’ll closely monitor spending and look for cost-cutting and efficiency moves so parents, students, and staff experience as little disruption as possible in day-to-day school operations.
   

• Clean Water Indiana cost-share funds available (huntingtoncountytab.com) — Huntington County SWCD is offering Clean Water Indiana cost-share funds to help local landowners plant cover crops and remove invasive species in the Lower Salamonie and Upper Wabash watersheds. Payments can reach $30 per acre for cover crops and up to $5,000 for invasive removal, covering 75% of approved costs, with details available at the Commercial Road office.
   

• Contract Awarded for Next Phase of Infrastructure for RFW Industrial Park (einpresswire.com) — Huntington is moving ahead with key sewer and water upgrades at the Riverfork West Industrial Park, supporting Hanjung America’s massive new manufacturing facility. The $647,283.50 contract will extend sanitary service to remaining lots, backing plans for more than 440 well-paying jobs and multiple future buildings on the southwest Huntington site.
