ā¢ 7 arrests made after Kokomo hotel room used for illegal narcotics use, distribution (fox59.com) ā Law enforcement recently made seven narcotics-related arrests at a hotel on South Reed Road in Kokomo while searching for a wanted man, according to the Howard County Sheriffās Office. Deputies reported smelling drugs, seeing paraphernalia, and hearing what sounded like a firearm before detaining multiple occupants. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the sheriffās office.

ā¢ Jeff Mercer reaches 300 wins as coach with Indiana's win over Evansville (thehoosiernetwork.com) ā Kokomo native Conner Linn delivered his best outing of the season for Indiana University baseball, throwing five scoreless innings in an 8ā6 win over Evansville that marked coach Jeff Mercerās 300th career victory. Linnās strong start, backed by several Hoosier home runs, helped Indiana hang on despite late bullpen struggles and sets them up to host Abilene Christian this weekend. Ā Ā Ā
