ā¢ Lake Station names Christine Pepa as first woman school chief (chicagotribune.com) ā Lake Stationās school district has chosen assistant superintendent Christine Pepa as its next superintendent, making her the first woman to lead the schools. Starting July 1 on a three-year contract, sheāll succeed retiring superintendent Thomas Cripliver and help hire a new assistant superintendent, aiming to keep the districtās ākids firstā focus and smooth leadership transition.
