• Noblesville Schools' IREAD pass rate increases (youarecurrent.com) — Noblesville Schools' third-graders posted a strong 92% pass rate on the 2026 IREAD exam, up from 88.6% the year before, according to state data. Local lawmakers, including Rep. Alaina Shonkwiler of Noblesville, highlight rising scores and increased state K‑12 funding, while more detailed school-by-school results and ILEARN scores are still to come.
   

• Hamilton County extends disaster emergency, lifts White River travel ban (wrtv.com) — Noblesville's stretch of the White River is back open for recreation, but Hamilton County has extended its disaster emergency through Sept. 3 as neighborhoods keep cleaning up record flooding near Logan Street Bridge. Officials say water quality has returned to pre-flood levels, yet warn of hidden debris while they pursue state and federal recovery aid.
   

• Police departments use new facilities to increase public safety, officer retention (fox59.com) — Noblesville is moving ahead with a $50 million, 59,000‑square‑foot police headquarters, more than triple the size of the current building, to keep pace with growth and public safety needs. The story compares Noblesville's project with similar upgrades in Westfield and Indianapolis, all aimed at improving officer retention and modern policing capabilities.
