Eck Institute's Ph.D. fellowship helped anthropology student advance global health research (nd.edu) — A Notre Dame-based Ph.D. fellowship at the Eck Institute for Global Health is helping graduate students, including anthropology researcher Prakash B K, dive deeply into global health questions like caste and health inequities. Magnifica Humanitas: Human Dignity in the Age of AI (nd.edu) — Notre Dame’s de Nicola Center is convening campus theology and law experts to unpack Pope Leo XIV’s new encyclical on human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence. Local residents can hear Notre Dame scholars explore how AI, ethics, and Catholic teaching intersect, with moderator Margaret McManaway guiding a wide-ranging conversation on justice, labor, and technology.

Men's Basketball Announces Staff Updates (bvmsports.com) — Notre Dame men’s basketball, based right here in town, is reshaping its coaching staff, promoting longtime assistant Mike Farrelly to associate head coach and adding three new staffers. Indiana ALICE report shows working households struggle to afford basics (wndu.com) — A new ALICE report, analyzed in part by a University of Notre Dame data expert, shows more than 1 million Indiana households can’t afford basic necessities, with Elkhart and St. Joseph counties especially strained. Even many employed families are just one emergency away from crisis, as rising living costs and federal program cuts outpace the federal poverty line.
