Council delays zoning decisions for Uranus, condos (westernwaynenews.com) — Richmond Common Council has temporarily delayed zoning decisions for a planned Uranus Fudge Factory expansion on National Road E and a 78‑unit condo project called The Meadows on Backmeyer Road while members seek more information on traffic and nearby concerns. Council also approved $360,000 to buy and outfit needed police vehicles, including two funded with opioid settlement money, to support Richmond officers and a local dealership.

Flying Mummies Return Home for Rematches against Rivets, Celebrate Napoleon Dynamite Night (oursportscentral.com) — Richmond residents can head to Historic McBride Stadium tonight as the Flying Mummies return home to face the Rockford Rivets and host a Napoleon Dynamite-themed promotion with cast members on hand. With first pitch at 6:35 p.m. and special t-shirts for early fans, the game also carries divisional stakes in the Northwoods League standings.

3. New batteries help power Richmond (westernwaynenews.com) — Richmond’s municipal utility is now home to Indiana Municipal Power Agency’s first battery energy storage system, installed at the Richmond 6 solar park to cut peak power costs for local customers.
