Today's riddle: What did the inventor of the knock-knock joke win? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Zoning variance allows customizing vans into campers (westernwaynenews.com) — A Wayne County zoning decision now lets a local entrepreneur customize camper vans in a pole barn just south of Richmond, on agricultural-zoned land owned by his grandparents. After impressing fellow campers with his own converted van, he plans to build about two custom campers a year, all work kept indoors on the rural property.

2. Variance will permit storage building on Flatley Road (westernwaynenews.com) — Richmond’s Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a variance allowing a 1,500-square-foot storage building at 2320 Flatley Road in an industrial-zoned area. The decision reduces side and rear setbacks, with city staff backing the change as consistent with surrounding development, though permits are still required before construction.

4. 32-year-old Richmond man arrested for sexual battery (fox59.com) — Richmond police arrested a 32-year-old man Thursday afternoon on a preliminary sexual battery charge after investigating a March incident on South A Street. The police chief says the case reflects residents increasingly speaking up and helping officers address this kind of behavior.
