NIPSCO Customers Experience 18-Hour Power Loss (wowo.com) — Some Warsaw NIPSCO customers went nearly 18 hours without power after an equipment failure during an ongoing labor lockout, leaving parts of the city dark into the next morning. Residents reported a loud boom, delayed repair crews, and serious worries for people relying on medical equipment as union talks with the utility continue without a clear end date.

Public Occurrences 04.17.2026 (timesuniononline.com) — Kosciusko County’s latest jail bookings and police reports include several Warsaw-area arrests, from alleged domestic-related offenses on Nye Street to OWI and drug charges. Multiple recent crashes in Warsaw, including at North Detroit and East Canal streets and other busy intersections, are also detailed, along with incidents in nearby towns like North Webster and Winona Lake.

3. $1.7 million distributed to 13 groups by K21 Health Foundation (newsnowwarsaw.com) — More than $1.7 million in new K21 Health Foundation grants will support projects including a Warsaw community skate park and equipment for the Warsaw Girls Rugby Foundation. Venture Challenge Gets Students Going On The Road To Entrepreneurship (timesuniononline.com) — Young entrepreneurs from Warsaw and other Kosciusko County schools just wrapped up the Kosciusko Student Venture Challenge showcase at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center in Winona Lake, earning more than $14,000 in startup funding. Warsaw students are launching everything from power washing and global-flavor cooking to faith-based apparel and dog treats, gaining real-world mentoring, pitching experience, and seed money to grow their businesses locally.

Warsaw Man Arrested In Two Intimidation Cases (inkfreenews.com) — A Warsaw resident has been jailed after prosecutors filed multiple intimidation and related charges tied to two separate March and April incidents in Kosciusko County, including one at a Warsaw business. Court documents describe alleged threats involving a firearm, vehicle damage, and a metal baseball bat. The case remains pending, and the suspect is being held in the county jail.
