• Zionsville's Carpenter Nature Preserve wins state award (youarecurrent.com) — Carpenter Nature Preserve in Zionsville has been named Indiana's 2026 Community Green Project of the Year, spotlighting the town's investment in conservation and outdoor recreation. The 215‑acre former golf course now offers trails, overlooks, a playground, and outdoor learning spaces, with more boardwalks, habitats, and creek restoration planned in a second phase.
   

• Election Board: Boone County Council candidate did not violate election law (youarecurrent.com) — Boone County's Election Board ruled that Zionsville Town Council member Craig Melton did not violate election law by reusing old "reelect" campaign signs in his county council race. A Zionsville resident had complained the wording could mislead voters, but a 2‑1 board majority decided his existing office and sign changes kept it within the law.
   

• 2026 General Election Voting (in.gov) — Boone County voters, including those in Zionsville, get a full schedule of early voting hours and Election Day locations for Indiana's 2026 general election, with multiple options at Zionsville Town Hall and the Hussey‑Mayfield Library.
