Ames residents, local bakeries, Hy-Vee, and the Ames Interfaith Alliance all pitched in, highlighting how the community is supporting Ukrainian neighbors and recent refugees.

The candidate outlined incentives for family farms, support for regenerative practices, and efforts to build in-state food markets, arguing these steps could keep young Iowans on the land and strengthen rural communities.
