1. Jo Molina joins as Produce in the Park summer intern (kjan.com) — Atlantic’s Produce in the Park has welcomed 2025 Atlantic High School graduate Jo Molina as its summer intern, helping grow the farmers market’s outreach and community impact. The free Thursday evening market in Atlantic City Park runs June through September, accepts SNAP/EBT and SUN Bucks, and relies on numerous local sponsors to keep fresh food and community connections thriving.
   

2. PREP GIRLS WRESTLING: Dillon Cox hired as girls' wrestling coach (swiowanewssource.com) — Atlantic School Board has hired longtime assistant and former Trojan state qualifier Dillon Cox as the new head varsity girls’ wrestling coach. Cox, already a paraeducator in Atlantic schools, is expected to build on the rapidly growing girls’ program, which returns standout wrestlers Cadence Kinzie and Leiah Thomas for the upcoming season.
   

3. Atlantic woman wins $50,000 lottery prize (kjan.com) — An Atlantic resident, Kelly McDermott, won a $50,000 top prize on the Iowa Lottery’s Bonus Cash Doubler scratch game after buying her ticket at the Casey’s on East Seventh Street. She says the win brings real relief, allowing her to pay bills and pay off her car while joking that even the family dog doesn’t quite grasp the good news.
   

4. Cash Grain June 11, 2026 (westerniowatoday.com) — Local farmers can check June 11 cash grain bids for multiple area elevators, including Landus Coop and Elite Octane in Atlantic. The report lists current corn and soybean prices for nearby towns like Adair, Casey, Anita, Cumberland, and more, with a reminder that bids may change without notice.
