• Dubuque schools eliminate 27 positions to save $2 million, most staff take new roles (kcrg.com) — Dubuque Community School District is cutting 27 positions at the end of this school year to save about $2 million, with most affected employees shifting into new roles. Three probationary teachers and four staff members will see their contracts terminated, a move tied to cost-cutting after last fall’s failed $70 million school bond and a broader plan that includes middle school consolidation and a higher property tax levy.
