• Developers, city leaders break ground on first phase of ‘The Core of Hiawatha' (kcrg.com) — A major new mixed-use project called “The Core of Hiawatha” is breaking ground at Robins Road and Faye Street, adding 39 apartments over ground-floor shops and restaurants. City leaders say it should help more people both live and work in Hiawatha, with construction starting next month and completion expected in fall 2027.
