• Honor The Spirit: Donate Blood Sept. 8-12 (yankton.net) — Johnston residents are being urged to mark the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 by donating blood at LifeServe donor centers or mobile drives from Sept. 8–12. With donations down over the summer, organizers say each contribution can help stabilize the local blood supply and save up to three lives, and donors will receive a patriotic trucker hat as thanks.
