• Iowa Gold Star Military Museum to Dedicate New Military Nurses Exhibit (ottumwaradio.com) — A new exhibit honoring Iowa's military nurses will be dedicated at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum at Camp Dodge in Johnston on Saturday, October 10, at 11 a.m. Residents are invited to attend the free public ceremony, hear from distinguished nurses, and be among the first to explore stories of Iowa nurses' service and sacrifice in wartime and peace.
   

• Iowa PBS to host 4th Congressional District debate (ottumwaradio.com) — Iowa PBS will host a 4th Congressional District debate at its Johnston studios on Wednesday, October 14, at 7 p.m., with no live audience. Johnston viewers can watch live on Iowa PBS or online as candidates Dave Dawson and Chris McGowan field questions on their priorities and plans for representing western and northwestern Iowa.
